Custom Stainless Sprockets Supplier - HM
A stainless sprocket is a simple mechanical wheel with teeth/small notches that rotates and engages with chain or belt links. However, they must have the same thickness and pitch to be consistent. It is made entirely of stainless steel in grades 201, 304, and 316, making it ideal for motorbikes or push bikes.
HM has been producing stainless sprockets for over 20 years using die casting, CNC machining, surface treatment, and other techniques. We also perform stringent quality control with our advanced testing equipment to ensure a high-quality outcome. We can provide customized stainless steel sprockets to meet your specific needs.
Types of Stainless Sprocket
The quick disconnect sprocket is used with higher working loads, and some feature a reverse mounting function. They are long-lasting, with a high-quality surface finish and high durability.
These are used where long lengths of chain can slack, to help avoid whipping, or where it’s been guided around an obstruction. It also helps prevent uneven load distribution.
Because the hunting tooth sprocket has an uneven number of teeth, it tends to last longer than other models because the links engage a new set of teeth each time it turns.
The double duty sprocket is made of 100% stainless steel. These have two teeth per pitch, allowing the links to be developed to a new set of teeth when one set is worn down.
The segmental rims have bolt-on rims in either three, four, or more pieces. The rim can be replaced without removing the chain from the sprocket or the sprocket from the shaft.
The multiple strands is used where more torque and power are needed or if two or more items are being powered by the same drive shaft. Their size, design, and finishes are customizable.
Stainless Sprocket Features
To ensure good performance, we ensure that all of our stainless sprockets are manufactured in a step-by-step process.
We offer corrosion-resistant stainless sprockets. They can keep their surface finish glossy and of extreme quality.
With the help of advanced technology, we can ensure that all stainless sprockets meet your applications at a lower price.
To meet the needs of customers, the stainless sprockets can be customized in terms of size, shape, and thickness.
Custom Sprocket Applications
Sprockets are mechanical components that rotate to keep roller chains and conveyor chains moving. They appear to be gear, but they are not intended to have meshed together. Custom stainless sprockets are used in a variety of applications, including:
- And other machinery
How Do Sprockets Work?
A chain or belt connects two sprockets, one of which is the ‘driver’ and the other the ‘driven.’ They are then driven by motion or force, which provides power or changes the torque or speed of a mechanical system.
Sprockets with more teeth can move more weight, but they generate more tension, which reduces the operating frequency.
The notches wear away as the chain passes over them, so if they’ve become sharpened or hooked at the tip instead of being blunt, they need to be replaced.
Stainless Steel Benefits for Sprockets
- Fire & Heat Resistance. Stainless steel has oxidation resistance even at high temperatures. This enables it to retain its strength under harsh and extreme temperature conditions very effectively.
- Corrosion Resistance. One of the best and most well-known properties of stainless steel is its resistance to corrosion. This defining feature has made it widely applicable all over the world.
- Hygienic Material. Because it is so simple to clean and sanitize, stainless steel is an extremely hygienic material. Due to its smooth, sheen-like, and non-porous surface, dirt, grime, and bacteria have a difficult time establishing themselves on its exterior.

Each sprocket has a unique set of components, including the following:
Number of teeth: This is the total number of teeth on the sprocket, each of which is referred to as a tooth.
Pitch Diameter: The sprocket’s circumference at the inner point between the teeth where the chain meets the sprocket.
Outside Diameter: The circumference of the sprocket at the tooth tips.
Pitch: The total measurement per tooth, usually in inches. This must correspond to the pitch between the pins on a chain.
Below are the following characteristics of stainless sprocket:
- Good anti-rust performance
- Maintain a consistent flow
- Strong and long-lasting
- Heat and cold resistant
- Corrosion resistant
- Withstands pressure
