Sintered Metal Parts Manufacturer in China | HM

HM manufactures high-precision and high-strength sintered metal parts from a variety of high-quality metals.

Sintered Metal Parts

Sintered metal components are manufactured using a method of powder metallurgy called sintering. Sintering is done by compressing the metal powder into your desired shape or design. After that, heating without melting the compacted powder will be done to fuse the metal particles. And that will result to a high-strength and hard metal parts.

Here at HM, we are experts in cutting-edge metal sintering methods that turn powdered metals into sturdy and reliable metal parts. We are manufacturing sintered metal parts from various alloys and metal materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, steel, brass, bronze, and many more.

Manufacturing Process of Sintered Metal Parts

RAW MATERIAL
RAW MATERIAL

Sintered parts are made from metal powder. There are various forms of metal powders such as laminar, spherical, irregular, and sponge. Also, metal powders can be:

  • alloyed powders (brass, steel, bronze, etc.)
  • pure metal (copper, iron, etc.)
MIXING
MIXING

The base powder will be mixed with:

  • various alloying components
  • organic solid lubricant
  • special additives

Then, the outcome is a powder mixture with evenly distributed additives. Also, strict and precise control and dosing are ensured to achieve the desired characteristics of the metal parts.

TOOLING
TOOLING

The powder mixture will be compacted inside the tooling. The tool is an essential element for high durability and high precision.

Using SMED procedures, tooling assembly and maintenance will be done.

COMPACTING
COMPACTING

Depending on the desired final density, the powder combination will be gravity-filled into the mixer’s tool chamber and subjected to a uni-axial pressure of 200 to 1,500 MPa. Then, the compacted part will be released from the tooling and a green part will be created. The green part can be handled and has mechanical strength.

SINTERING
SINTERING

Sintering is a process of heating the compressed part at a temperature lower than the melting point of the base metal. Through the use of a solid-state diffusion process, the high temperature causes the particles and alloying elements to fuse together. Continuous furnaces are used for sintering, which is done at a controlled temperature, speed, and chemical composition. The result of these processes will be a metal part with high dimensional precision and certain micro-porosity.
